Up until recently, I wasn't a massive fan of Playtech slots, but they have sufficiently increased their armoury now that there are a few in here I would rate right up there. Playtech licence their video slots to around 50 or so online casinos as I write, although I tend to stick to the more familiar names (see those listed) as I find that cashout times can otherwise be quite slow. The UK bookmakers who licence Playtech games tend to be much faster to pay out, usually obliging within 24-72 hours, while some of the offshore operations can take a week or more.
Leaving aside the excellent Playtech Marvel slots which I deal with seperately, 2 Playtech slots in particular grab me. Until Microgaming released their rather lush Dark Knight game, I'd have said that Playtech's Gladiator was probably the best online slot for eye-candy with fantastic video sequences from the film and gameplay to match. Another favourite of mine is the Great Blue slot with it's stacked wilds and free spins, a game that has the balance just right for entertainment and big win potential.
Also worth a mention are the 2011 slot games, the King Kong slot and the Iron Man 2 slot, both of which I find myself playing a lot. King Kong in particular has fantastic video graphics from the movie and movie fans might also want to check out the feature-rich The Mummy game which arrived at the end of 2011. Eye-candy!
Click on any image to watch a video of the slot and it's feature round.
As a footnote, Playtech have now done a deal with Marvel to licence some of their brands for slot games. Cryptologic did this a while back and have a number of slots based on Marvel characters, but Playtech's are pretty awesome both graphically and in gameplay. The first two to be release were my personal favourite, Iron Man with a very good free spins bonus, and The Hulk which has two seperate bonus rounds. Both games also have expanding wilds.
